To celebrate St Patrick's Day, there will be reviews of Irish horror films each day this week. And to start things off, here's one for horror/comedy/sci-fi movie Grabbers.
When big-mouthed, multi-tentacled aliens from outer space invade a small island off the Irish coast, the locals discover the killer creatures need blood and water to stay alive. But blood containing high levels of alcohol is poisonous to them, so a decision is made at the pub. "We have a lock-in. We stay out of the rain. And we drink." But will the islanders be able to fight off the rapidly-growing, multiplying, hungry monsters if they're can't even walk in a straight line?
