A tired, young man drinks coffee and takes pills while driving his car, which is getting low on fuel. While distracted he hits something, which appears to be a mannequin. And when he goes into a nearby cafe for help, all he can see are mannequins staring back at him.
This eight-minute short film uses an interesting idea, which is more creepy than I expected it to be. Unfortunately, the impact was lessened for me, because remarkably similar ideas have since been used in Doctor Who episodes (a combination of the Autons and the Weeping Angels). I know it's unfair because this was produced first, but it took away the sense of originality for me. At the end of the story there is a twist, though it is a little predictable.
It's not terrible by any means, it's put together reasonably well, and the performances are decent. I liked the premise, but I just didn't find the film as frightening or memorable as some of the other horror shorts I've seen recently. It is available to watch for free on YouTube here. 3/5
